We had a Priefert but the cows didn't fit in it. The chute and squeeze are pretty good and plenty big, and better headroom for AI and palp work. I looked at a variety of chutes at Louisville farm show, and didn't love any of them. I usually run them in by myself, no tub, so sliding back door works well.
I got a great deal on the chute, and could put a Priefert headgate on it that we have available. Just wanted to know if there are any modifications that would help this headgate. I don't like that it is straight and not curved for the neck.
Full Disclosure: I am a Tuff-Built dealer, Not to defend Arrowquip, but there are some advantages to straight sides on the headgate vs. curved. If you have a cow in and are letting a calf suck you can walk a way with a pretty high degree of certainty that the cow will not go down and hang herself. and if they get a leg in it they most likely will not break it. If you want to talk further or interested in a price e-mail me.
