Mid MO | Everyone who goes to the home, wants to leave. It's just awful and makes a sad situation hurt that much worse.
My Grandmother would get this real sweet look and lean in close and say, "Do you know where my house is? Will you take me there? They won't notice I've left....." She had alzheimers but could be convincing for short bursts.
My dear sweet mil would accuse the night shift lady of drinking, smoking, and gambling all night while on shift. "I know what they're up to!" That lady happened to be her good friend who'd played hymns with her every Sunday at the Baptist church!!
I'm sorry. There is no good solution. You're visiting her and being attentive and loving which is all you can do. | |
