N.W. Ohio | After a very challenging spring with late planted crops we went from very wet conditions to very hot and extremely dry. The corn looked terrible all last week with the heat and not well established root systems. We did get .35” here and cooler Sunday morning which helped. Yesterday corn was again rolling. But we’re currently getting rain which will hopefully be a larger amount. We’re no disaster here where I’m at, but I think definitely not where we would need to be for a record crop. But as others have pointed out, July and August weather will determine the outcome of things. | |
