| Our county fair was known for its good building, ran by the fair board & and each twphad volunteer workers for certain days and donated homemade pies Sandwiches, roast beef during the day. At night we cooked ribeye steaks on a large indoor grill, grilled chicken cooked on barrel grills outside, ham, and all the fixend. Of an evening it wasn’t unusual to stand in On a avg day would serve 5-600 people Not bad for a county of approx 6,000 people at the time. & I served as can of the good building for 2 years. Lot of work but a lot of good memories and made a lot of friends. Probably where she got her calling to run her own catering business for 30+ years | |
