You are exactly right. Anyone who doesn't know that isn't much of a farmer.
Had a friend who tried using a 95 day hybrid sold mostly in Wisconsin and Minnesota as a mid June replant several years ago. Wasn't exceptionally dry, but was hot. Didn't make an ear. His neighbor replanted a 108 day hybrid adapted to the area in an adjacent field the same day, made 140.
Are Indiana and Ohio still getting blistered?
