The South American expansion has allowed the Chinese to implement their silent boycott of US Ag products. They want to show us that they are the dominate player in the world. Until SA has a major hiccup we will be their last resort to buy anything from. It won't matter who is in office. They could see the weakness in our current administration and have spent the last four years exploiting it. However I do not like the talk of tariffs from Trump. I do not see that being a good thing for the Ag sector.


How much is SA farmer expansion and how much is a more direct involvement by the Chinese?

I don’t think “it has allowed the Chinese” but rather is being driven and funded by the Chinese
