| Probably thieves.
They may have had an order for that.
We were told some only only steal a little at a time. They figure us old folks will figure we just misplaced some items.
As far as odd thefts, here is some we have had.
They stole the wiring out of a bunch of semi trailers. Copper value at that time would have approached $1.97.
They didn't touch the 60 ft copper cable to run the lift gate. That cable was easily accessible on the side of the trailer. Probably 40 pounds of copper in it.
Out of those trailers they stole the PLASTIC air lines out of 2.
They were stealing bulk oil, among other things at Dad's. There was a store brand oil jug under the spout.
Neither Dad or I have ever bought that brand of oil, so they must have brought their own pails.
They left the Axe they broke in with.
They had moved stuff around from tool boxes into other boxes and cabinets.
It appeared some things were packed up for them to come back but so far they have not.
