Central SD
So where are you going to dump your CO2? The politics in the South Dakota state house are about as anti pipeline as you can get. In the June primary in my state virtually anyone pro pipeline candidate lost and that includes many incumbents and the house majority whip who represents my district. There was more PAC money spent in this primary than any in my lifetime at least on house and senate candidates. He lost by nearly 20 percentage points. The Republicans that have tried to cram this thing through have been sent a message. Whether they listen or not remains to be seen. For those that don’t know our state house and senate are about 80% Republican.

I think this is headed to the US Supreme Court. I cannot predict that outcome but the landowners in both South Dakota and North Dakota don’t want anything to do with this regardless of the money that is involved. I commend our state PUC for standing with truth and integrity. Money can’t buy everything.
