I had a 50 acre patch of six year old alfalfa that needed redone. I took a surprisingly good first cutting off it in May of that year, then sprayed it after a week of regrowth. Then late summer I disced it lightly and seeded alfalfa and orchard grass with a brillion seeder. I got a beautiful stand.
