S Illinois | PP and failed corn acre data will be taken into account in the WASDE in Sept unless an abnormally large PP number is seen as FSA starts to release its monthly acreage reports in Aug. In that case the Aug WASDE may show a lower harvested %. But Sept is normally the first month to see real acreage changes.
The smaller holes however will take longer to be accounted for as in field measurements are made and famers final survey results are tallied. So look for small cuts to harvested % in Oct, Nov and in Jan. The wrench that could be thrown in is if the western corn belt stays wet and abandonment is lower/harvested % is higher out there . That would cause some offsetting of the failed acres in IA, MN, eastern SD.
