Western Ontario | Been a challenge in Ontario too, really should have been at it a month ago but still planting beans up till 2 week’s ago. There were thousands of acres got rained on last week in Ontario, 6 straight days of sun forecast turned into rain every other day, sometimes right out of nowhere. I called the Mennonites and they came and chopped 150 acres yesterday but still 120 to go and although we’d like some dry hay I think we’re going to do the same, cut/bale/wrap. I actually feel very fortunate, we’ve avoided the big rains but have lots of hay and pasture and will make up for quality on second cut. | |
