Just to get an idea of my acres, before the last 11 inches we replanted potholes that amounted to 86 acres out of 1150 planted. This is 7.5% of total acreage. That is all lost now as it has been underwater for a week. And after the last 11 inches there are new spots under water and the replanted ones are about 50% bigger than before. I would estimate 12-15% of my 1150 acres total loss, and hard to tell what the repercussions of all the fringe areas of the drown outs will do. The hilltops will probably make good corn, unless we turn dry here mid July. Then we would probably be looking field averages half or less than last year. But this is just my immediate area in southern mn. Take it for what its worth.
