Redwood County, MN
Redwood County, MN has 450,000 acres of corn and soy. Of those acres that aren't affected by river swelling but rather just rain ponding, I think it would be conservative to say an average of 5% has been destroyed across those 450,000 acres.

450,000 x 0.05= 22,500 acres

Add in let's say just 6,000 acres for a conservative estimate of river/creek-related crop deletion, and you have around 28,500 acres in this county alone. Probably 40 counties affected between IA, MN, and SD.

Most likely not 3M acres lost, but 1-1.5M isn't hard to rationalize.
