| Looking at trading my midrange CIH combine for a newer model. Got quoted about $240/sep hr difference to trade into a slightly used (250-500 hr) 150 series vs $270/sep hr for a new 160 series.
Operation has never bought brand new due to steep depreciation curve. So probably leaning towards the slightly used. Curious what a good benchmark would be for cost per separator hour would be? The $240 seems like a decent deal compared to what's been posted here over the past few months.
But it's also hard to fathom a similar machine with similar hours increasing in price by 152% in 8 years time.
Edit - I’m a dummy. Maybe mods can move this to the machinery forum.
