| In my opinion, the $270 for a new combine is the best option if you want to upgrade. I’m surprised it’s not over $300 to be honest. Not much more for a new machine with warranty. Buying a cheap one at an auction doesn’t get rid of yours. Buying from a dealer also puts you in good standing with them. Sometimes I feel like others project guilt on those who purchase new pieces of equipment. “You could save so much more money if you learned how to wrench”. While that is true, not everyone likes to wrench. If making as much money as possible was the ultimate goal, we wouldn’t be farming. That being said, I do admire those who take on big projects and repair their own machinery. But if that’s not your jam, buy the new one if it won’t cause you financial stress that will cause you to lose sleep. | |
