| The larger question is who is pushing this and why. Government exists to increase their control over your lives and business. Anyone want to bet money that this will eventually expand into all cattle, including calves? Because if it doesn't that would be the only place where EID requirements don't include all cattle. Big pharma is now in the tag business also so they stand to make big money. NCBA represents the Packers so they get your labor and expense for nothing. Government then has the means to do whatever nefarious things government does, tax your cattle for instance.
