Sioux County, NWIA | Are you testing the wiring with the trailer hitched to the pickup or not? If it is hitched to the pickup, disconnect it. Trailer wiring MUST be able to work only through the trailer wire harness or you can be chasing ground problems endlessly. If trailer wiring looks at me very cross eyed I toss the whole works and start over. Make sure the trailer ground wire going to the plug is at least a 12 ga, preferably 10 ga wire.
