Douglass Kansas | Best average yield ever coming in at 63 for us. We had 3 fields that had significant damage from wet weather and geese during the winter. One of them had an area of 15+ acres where there was nothing, so we planted it to full season soybean, rest of field did good. Other 2 damaged fields had lots of thin areas and we thought about destroying whole field. One of those fields got a rain in mid April that missed all my other fields, that field ended up making 71 other damaged field made 43. I think that if we would have gotten that rain in the middle of April on all our wheat we would have been at least 10 bu better on our average. |
