As Ed Usset’s book says, “Grain marketing is simple, it just isn’t easy” or something to that effect.
Generally I do a better job marketing in a bear market than bull, seasonals are just easier to plan for in the bear market. Hedge some the summer before, most April-June the year it’s in the ground, harvest and store, roll your contracts to the next summer when spreads tell you to, and hope you made some money. Haha
