I’ll be honest, my training from the beginning was to stay away from options as they hit roughly 25% of the time (lots of farmers have lost money doing them vs hedging around here) so I don’t have near the “expertise” with them. I hope they work for you though, Bonpas! Some winter I’ll start studying them more to see where they fit. I’d imagine they work better in a bull market vs bear, but could be wrong…(?)
If they hit only 25% of the time is precisely why he suggested selling them. It’s a better gamble than about anything else we call marketing.
