If you feel the USDA is almost always going to be bearish, use it to your advantage. Putting your head into the sand isn’t the answer, I can tell you that.
You can do a million things right agronomically, but Mother Nature, the USDA, and traders dictate a lot. Control what you can, and understanding markets is an advantage over many that farm it seems.

I absolutely take into account USDA reports and release dates and the moment of release price an action. Kinda screwed me up Friday with the delay or whatever that is which will have no accountability attached to it. Thats government. Everyone who trades is very aware of report power I assume. They put out numbers and modify them as needed.
Still surprises me how defensive ag folk are on that agency that has demonstrated some pretty big impactful doings.
