Northeast Missouri | Many, many years ago a "neighbor" (miles away) had a Brangus heifer that was built like a deer and wild as a thistle. She visited a LOT of herds and was more than a month on the loose.
We got her trapped in an old barn that was tight enough to hold her but had double Dutch doors that closed off an alley way to the outside. We called them to come get her, and we had plans for how we'd load her without losing her again, but when they backed their trailer up to the loadout the commotion made her nervous. She ended up jumping *at the light* that shown through a small gap between the upper pair of Dutch doors...broke a door and escaped.
I think they later got her with a tranq. dart...from somebody else's herd. | |
