EC SoDak | I thought I’d be further behind in GDUs from the stage of some corn, but the manured ground looks good. Some of the commercial fertilized fields in the area have been dealing with potassium uptake issues, agronomist believe it’s more or less due to the conditions of the season. Some are snapping out of it, some areas haven’t yet. If it isn’t well drained, that corn is showing some stress. I’m guessing it’ll be a short corn year for a bit of it.
Looking at Pioneer’s website, I’m 16 GDUs behind average. It’ll expand some because there isn’t too much heat in the forecast, wish we had some to dry up the ground. It would be nice weather for pollination though. lol
