Well I'm with you - that sounds higher than heck for what it is. I know inflation is bad, but I sure wouldn't give that much just for an old junk wagon to park over an auger and dump into with carts (BTW, we don't have $8k in either of our 650 bu carts - a Kinze and a Brent). Sure, compared to new $30k wagons, $8k looks cheap, but to us poor guys that buy wagons off bigiron instead of the dealer, $8k sounds awful high. I'd let em keep it for that.

We have actually been looking for something smaller to do the same job - something in the 600-700 bu range. Doesn't have to be pretty, doesn't have to have brakes or a tarp, doesn't have to have good tires. Have passed on a couple in the 4-5k range. We'll find a good deal on one eventually. Till then we'll keep using the 400 bu wagon and unloading the cart a little slower.
