Latimer, Iowa (north central) | We run a rate controller on both dry cattle and dry poultry manure. Also do on our liquid hog manure. Not so much to variable rate apply but just to get a consistent rate across the entire field. With rates of 1-4 ton per acre its hard to even see where we have spread its so consistent. Running a Tebbe with poultry pans and a Nuhn quad train. I demoed another brand this spring to help them try out a new dry spreader and the first thing we had them do was add a rate controller. Manure worth too much to not spread well. The liquid is a flowmeter and the dry is based off scales, both run through the VT terminal. |
