Latimer, Iowa (north central)
Yup!!! We used to spread manure from the feedlot basically tire track to tire track and pretty darn thick.

With rate controllers/flow meters we generally spread 2200 gallons hog manure an acre and 1 ton of chicken litter on the same acres. Or 2200 hog and 3 ton cattle manure. With 50 units N sidedressed as 32% grows nice crops over many more acres then when I used to spread 3800 hog manure or 10? ton cattle manure per acre.

Flow meters and rate controllers have saved/made us a significant amount of money with less commercial to buy.
