Subject: Split row planters

I'm looking for ideas, answers, help and maybe just general info and experience. I'm looking to get a split row planter so I can plant corn and soybeans with just one machine and save me time planting. I currently use a 6 row corn planter and a small homemade soybean planter that uses soybean cups. I'm looking to upgrade so I can singulate my soybeans. I thought about a drill but they are just as expensive as a split row planter. I'm looking for a 12/23 or a 16/31. I have been looking at the case 1250's and possibly a kinze. I am only a 300 acre but I also work full time so if I can get in and done quicker the better. My planting tractor is a case mx 270. Any thought would be helpful. Thank you.
