Iowa | I'm no Cummins expert but the ones I've had apart had the engine serial number stamped in the exterior of the block somewhere.
I'm not sure where that would be on a QSX. From there you can call cummins or look it up yourself on the cummins quick serve site and view the data plate tied to that serial number I believe.
I'm guessing here but I think I've seen some engine serial numbers on ECM's too. Someone correct me If I'm wrong on that.
If you happen to know someone with diag. software that might be an easy way to get it also after plugging it in and communicating with the ECM. | |
