On our 2016, I gingerly ran the hose right through the rear grill before I put the cam lock connector on the hose at the rear. I had to spread the fins a bit, but it wasn't bad.
On our older 2000 Hagie, we went above and forward of the engine then attached it to the screws that held the engine sheet metal on, right over the top of the engine.
