Look at it this way. Do you variable rate your feeding in the bunks for cattle? Probably not. I get that a fertilizer salesman wants to sell you commercial fertilizer and uses soils tests to achieve that. I do not put much faith in a soil test, but still use them as a learning tool.

Therfore your underground animals need biology on every acre also. We target a blanket 10 ton an acre of bedpack manure. Supplement nitrogen as needed for the extra. Not sure you need any more p/k once you get the biology correct. Like I said soil tests don't tell anything of the biology.

Take care of the animals and they'll take care of you.
