Yeah, 2 planters is great. I had to get quite a bit above 300 acres before I did it, and it was kind of a lark on an on-line auction that I bought the 2nd planter this spring. But 2 relatively inexpensive Kinze planters, 1 for corn and 1 for beans, was pretty nice this year (first year with 2 planters) especially with the replanting this spring. Kinzes, particularly the split row planters if using soybean brush meters for beans and finger meters for corn, aren't the quickest to change over on the larger planters. Between changing all the meters and raising/lowering the front units, amongst several other things, it takes time especially if doing by yourself. That being said I've used the Kinze 2600 for corn and beans for the previous 10ish years and got along fine, particularly if I at least got some help to switch the planter over.
