| And here in south central MN we can't get the rain to stop. Lakes all over the place. Crops look terrible, corn yellow, beans small. Can't get out into the fields to finish spraying corn or beans. We're about 50 miles from the Rapidan Dam that has been in the news for getting by-passed and flood waters took out the hydro elec plant next to it. And to think that I was concerned in mid April that we wouldn't have enough moisture to germinate the corps after planting. It probably doesn't matter anymore if we get more rain or not, I would be surprised if we don't have Fed crop claims this fall. | |
