Ludington/Manistee MI area
Too bad the Monsignor that baptized me did my first communion, and confirmation wasn’t around in the digital era. The Ash Wednesday surmon he use every year would be fitting for this occasion for you to listen to. To condense it down from 15 minutes to part of one sentence it deals with modesty and humility he then instructed the congregation basically not strut around like peacocks showing the world how they are superior because they wear a sign of Christs suffering. You might learn something for a feeble old Polish Monsignor. He served even in a wheelchair and had a faint voice at the end and his homily was short but every word counted. I’ve learned more in the last 10 years as a Lutheran than the prior 38 as a Catholic but Monsignor G’s homily will stick with me for life.
