![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=10883&type=profile&rnd=406) WNW Illinois, Henry Co | So my son was doing wheat yesterday, when he turned on the end, the outside wheel fell off, tire rim and spindle went rolling about 100 feet downhill. took a little while to notice it L.O.L.
I said call dealer just to check if they had a new spindle, surprisingly they did. My suspicions are this must be a more than us problem to carry that part. Got our Mini EXC to the field with air compressor on pickup. dug a small hole, put our harbor freight air powered jack in hole jack up enough to get blocks under that side, dug the hole deeper, made a slight incline ramp to roll the wheel into when new parts arrived to field. You know how heavy a wide tire with fluid is, it is a bunch:
NOW THE BEST PART: Dealer said, " DId you get the letter " there is a recall on those spindles, the letter says to have an escort vehicle follow you to dealer, do NOT drive over 5 MPH on way in. How safe does that make you feel. Thinking of all the miles put on at road speed before. now we are supposed to assume the liability by driving it in instead of them hauling if for safety.
Anyone else had this issue with your machine
Good part was only down for 4 hours counting getting to field *far end, of course" with mini ex, longest time was waiting for parts by the time driving to dealer and back.
By the way it is the second one for us too.
Better talk to your dealer about yours if you have one.
EDIT: 2020 year 9240 with about 800 Hours?? I am not sure on hours, I am past the driving age
