Not entirely surprised. I've never been to that show, but I've talked with plenty of salesmen and it's a love-hate relationship with trade shows. A lot of money to be there, setup, move equipment, staff, etc. And new business from that happen enough to justify it. Throw in a year with predicted slower sales and I can see why many wouldn't bother.
