For this year our corn C.O.P. without land cost, on the 3 crop rotation fields, at 225 yields, is $427 an acre or 1.90 per bushel. Add in $425 an acre for land or an additional 1.89 so overall is $3.79 a bushel. Not as good as some but can be planting again next year at that. There are guys here that are better than me at getting low cost production but I can share what has worked or hasn't for us.
The rain this year has really made the grass grow in my first 8 rows along the ditch in the non-GMO corn. Thinking will have to get a better spray program around the fences than Capreno/Laudis/atrazine we did this year as a post. |
