Our Highlander was totaled last year. Asking nicely, of the tow company and the officers, goes a long ways to getting personal items out of the wreck. It seems Insurance companies may have a line in the policy that says "you wreck, we own it" until settlement. I understand that. So we will grab anything valuable before leaving the vehicle, If able to of course. In our case , we are good family friends with the tow company and were able to get access later in their yard.
Condolences to you and the family, and you are a true friend to step up. A good example for all. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t think I’d got it done not knowing the people and being as polite as I could be . There was a force way beyond me made that happen.
