Same farm as t-boss SC IA | I was told that Medicare requires doctors to prescribe Lisinopril 1st when prescribing blood pressure meds as it’s normally cheaper. They know it causes dry coughs in the majority of people who take it & once it’s determined it won’t work on that patient…then the doctor orders a different kind. I was on it for a week & instantly got a dry cough. I was put on losartan then & have gotten along fine with it. Everyone I know that takes bp meds started out on lisinopril & now are on something different. I take mine in the morning but a friend took hers at night & it worked fine while she was sleeping but did no good during the day when she was moving. Her bp stayed crazy high during the day. She switched to morning & now has a more normal reading. |
