| An American front man comes to the auction and the big outfit that will "farm" it holds his hand and tells him when to bid. Then there are several levels of US based llc with the same manager and the owner of the top llc eventually ends up as a hedge/investment fund so whoever owns the fund could invest. Big time multi-state farm custom farms it for their cut. Then they sub-contract most of the fieldwork to a local guy who runs around spraying everyday regardless of wind because he has so much to cover for them.
I really can't figure where any money is made except the custom work. Poor, high priced land, skimpy on fertilizer and weed control.
That's the info I found after doing some digging on land in my backyard
