Yes, always stuff to be done on a farm. One is never caught up. I’m in that spot myself.

However, I’m currently sitting on a beach on Lake Michigan with my kids and wife. I could be working at home this week, but I’m not with no regrets. Several years ago I finally got the light in the head that if I need to be home 52 weeks a year and resultantly my family is too, I’m doing something wrong. Being a farmer doesn’t mean that one has to be a martyr, it is ok to check out and leave.

I live all year for this week, and if that makes me a bad guy that I can afford to do such or I’m not good at my occupation, so be it.
