Yes in our remodel project the first plan didn't allow enough room for my 2500 HD. Added 4 feet to the depth. It's still not nearly as big as it looked layed out on the ground.....
We had the same problem didn't allow for storage at the front but did put in the two wide doors so lots of room for the mirrors.
