Liberty, MO | I owned a 2001 Volvo with the Eaton-Fuller 10 speed Auto-Shift and it had some funny quirks that required the engine to be shutoff for a minute or 2. Then it was go to work again. The 2006 Volvo with the same tranny that I owned and drove it 750,000 miles never left me setting because of shifting problems except a short wiring harness on top of the transmission was replaced or plugin cleaned when shifting showed funny shifting. All service was performed by my local VOLVO dealership. I’m sure there may have been updates made on the 2006 without my knowledge but I can’t prove it. Every time truck was in for service I know they hooked the computer up to the truck checking for codes that I was unaware of.
