Northeast Missouri | SS starts slow, as all sorghums do. But as others suggest, once it gets a foot tall it "goes for it" and makes a lot of growth, crowding out most weeds, etc.
I've wanted to try Sunn hemp with SS but haven't had the opportunity. We get 2 - 3 cuttings of SS here, and I have doubts the growth and cutting timing of Sunn hemp and SS would be compatible. Might try someday...I'd plant the SS a bit thinner to let the Sunn hemp get a good start. | |
