NW IL | I can't speak for the rest of the state, but in a 40-60 mile circle our little patch of maybe a 10 mile circle was planted first. (All the BTOs started here because everywhere else was too wet.)
Yes, tassels are starting to shoot out. Still a week or more until pollen drops. And that's in our area little 10 mile circle. I just sprayed 3 fields today with a tractor and pull behind sprayer.
All that to say, the crop is a bit behind, but I do think very good yield potential is possible in my corner of northern IL. | |
