NWMO | Missouri isn’t doing any heavy lifting, don’t let their numbers fool you, today’s crop is not as good as last years here in NWMO. In Holt, Atchison, and Nodaway county we grow ~340,000 acres of corn. We can’t get the water to shut off. Over 27” of rain this year so far. Many acres flooded, many fields have holes in them, and some PP acres in the river bottom.
For those wondering, these counties account for 10% of Missouri corn acres and roughly 65,000,000 bushel of Missouri’s corn, which is about 13% of the states total production.
