| What century are you living in where pollination weather is this huge issue? Grain fill weather is much more important. Even in 2021 if the plant sent out a tassel and cob we pollinated the cobs from one end to the other. The problem was they all just aborted later. Do we have potential for a really nice crop? Yes. Up here in nodak we are looking at lots and lots of knee high corn, some bigger, some smaller, we’re gonna need an ideal July/august/September to make it. So no our crop is not made. I know we’re fringe and don’t count, until we do. If a big area of fringe freezes early and we add that onto the fringe areas in the far east and south having drought issues and add in major flooding on some of the best corn acres in the world you eventually end up losing a couple bushels off the top…
For the record I’m not killing our crop or saying we won’t make maturity. Just stating the fact that it is a real possibility this year. | |
