I would probably try adding beneficial nematodes. You can kill the earworm with insecticides, but a long term solution of massively reducing the population, with like nematodes and BT (Bacillus thuringiensis ) bacteria seems more cost effective in the long term. owls feed on moths at night, a few nests might help.
This lists 3 of the 4 types I have seen commercially available nematodes. There is one type that is used in the UK but not approved for use in the US. This gives you an idea of what they are and attack: There are probably cheaper suppliers in quantity.
