Tried many things, but if you want 1 year of hay, buy the cheapest seed and seed at 15 pounds live seed per acre.
Multi year use better seed at 12 pounds per acre live seed.

If coated seed you only have about 50% live seed.

Expensive, yes, but otherwise you don't get any yield.

Watch spread pattern.

We frost seed in march, If not several days of freeze thaw , we put on in front of a good rain.
