Metal roof joint leak - how to seal? (Pics)

Will have to look at these drawings when I’m back to a computer, thanks for all the input thus far. I have two spots where the wood is soft from the leaking before it got through enough to show on the ceiling. Of course, there’s a loose screw in each spot but I don’t know if they are the cause or the symptom. I believe symptom, can’t imagine a leaking washer would allow enough water in from a 20 minute rain to wet the insulation below. Can’t tell anything else from below due to the sheeting being butted together underneath the roofing and the double bubble.

Here’s some pics of what I can see from outside and in.. the place where the foam has pushed out doesn’t have any leaking. Looks like the same stuff under the upper steel as it is below the flashing, but hard to tell since the upper steel is flat against the flashing whereas the flashing is held up from the lower steel by the foam.

Edit to add: The screw wasn’t popped up, I pushed it up from underneath so I could find it up top.
