Not knowing your location, I'm going by what I'd do HERE. Cut, bale and wrap yesterday or before. Put wrapped bales on pallet, with hungry cats available. Wrapped RB of mature oat hay is a bed and breakfast for mice IMHO.
Take next cutting before September first. I'm also, thinking you had all your soil tests and applications of lime/fertilizer done BEFORE seeding.
